Hi family and friends! Just a quick note, as we only have a few minutes before meeting friends Walt and Ellen Hiltner for dinner. We've certainly settled into a routine of sorts here - cycling in the morning, then back to our apartment for "brekky", out for cappuccino for two - I knit while Tom reads any newspaper he can find, back home to pack a lunch in our soft-sided "esky" (cooler bag), then off to the beach to take in some sun and swim in the rock pool. Evenings are spent looking through the Entertainment book deciding where to go for dinner. What a life!!
Tom's been meeting more people through the Sydney Cycling Club; this morning he met a fellow who's American/Canadian, but lives here now. He knows one of Tom's fraternity brothers, as he's spent time in both Vancouver and Seattle. Garth has a very interesting job - establishing domain names for post-conflict countries, such as Afghanistan. He's also sold a software company in Seattle, so we suspect he does all right.
Our friend, Jason, who is Tom's personal bike mechanic while we're here stayed with us last Thursday, and will be with us again tomorrow evening. This Sunday, we're going to take the train up to Woy Woy, where Jason and his wife Kristin live, and they're going to tour us around the area for the day. It's supposed to be fine weather now for the next 10 days, so it should be beautiful.
The photo below was taken by Tom as he did a 30 mile bike ride around a portion of Sydney Harbour on his own one afternoon.

This Friday evening, we'll spend with our friends, Maie and Kevin, having a pizza night. Maie has a DVD of the Sydney Estonian festival that was held here in Dec '05 and we're going to watch it with them.
I'll write again when we have more time!!
