It's Tuesday here, and we were invited to lunch with one of Tom's friends from the Sydney Cycling Club rides. We took the ferry to the lovely North Shore area of Mosman, where we were picked up by Bruce Gold and taken to his home on the water, not too far from the Spit Bridge in the middle Sydney Harbour. We met Bruce's wife, Robyn, and were treated to a wonderful luncheon at their home. It was delicious - Robyn's a great cook! It was so much fun to compare travel experiences with them - they've been to many more exotic locations that we have. Just now they are getting ready for a trip to South America and in December they will travel to Munich, where they are doing a home exchange with another couple for two months. It sounds like such a great adventure, and we're anxious to keep in touch with them to hear about their time in Germany - as well as the trip to South America. We feel so lucky to have met so many nice people. If I haven't said it before, Australians are wonderful people. They are so friendly, warm and welcoming. Here is a picture of Bruce and Robyn's idyllic view taken from their deck looking over their pool.
