Friday, March 9

Today, we checked out Flemington market, which is a huge fruit & vegetable distribution center that opens to the public 2 days a week. It’s a short train ride out of the city, and worth the trip to look around a bit. Tom was fascinated by the profusion of goods and how they are moved around the city to restaurants, groceries and other markets. It’s quite an operation. I was more interested in the vegetables that we don’t see often in Seattle, and Tom took a few photos of the more exotic.
Afterwards, we met Jason in the city for a quick lunch, and hung around downtown for the remainder of the afternoon.
