Yesterday, I did nothing – couldn’t even knit, as my left hand looks like hamburger, so I just popped painkillers and sat around all day. It was a beautiful day, and Tom went for a late morning ride and then into the city to pick up my bike and have lunch with Jason. He was in a bike crash with a city bus not long ago. Jason is an excellent cyclist, but he does ride through the city, and there are hazards, which unfortunately, he didn’t escape this time. He was off work for awhile, and on crutches, but Tom says he’s fine now.
We had a few hilarious moments while Tom helped me wash my hair in the kitchen sink – water, shampoo and conditioner all over the place, and we were both exhausted afterward. I hope to have a knitting update sometime soon – it’s getting pretty boring just sitting around here. Tom was able to ride with the club this morning – it’s supposed to be 86° today, so it was good that he got out early. Not much else to report, as I’m still trying to heal. Tonight is the famous Sydney Mardi Gras parade, which is a huge gay & lesbian festival that we’ve seen in years past. It’s quite spectacular with lots of extravagant floats, lots of color and unbelievable sights. We probably won’t go, as I won’t feel up to being out among crowds, but we may be able to watch some of it on TV tonight.
