Cycling coffee this morning was quite lively, with lots of people – such a diverse group, career wise, but with this common thread of a passion for the bike. Garth showed up as most of the others were leaving, so we had a nice hour or so with him. He’s great – lots of interesting stories, peppered with his particular brand of humor, which is hysterical. He will be in Melbourne next week, and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if we happen to run into him there.
Today is a beach day – probably the last time we’ll go to Wylie’s baths, so it’s time to say farewell to Smokey the cat. When we got to the baths entrance, Smokey greeted us. I think she recognizes our “eskie” bag (our soft sided cooler) and she followed us until we fed her the ham we’d brought to give her. Here’s a picture of her enjoying the sun with Tom.
Friday night, we went out to dinner with Kristen and Jason to a place on Wagamama at Darling Harbour. This area is full of restaurants, bars and shops and it’s always packed with people. We had such a fun time laughing with Jason & Kristen and always appreciate spending time with them.
