Happy Easter! As many native Australians have told us, it ALWAYS rains at Easter. I guess we just got lucky last year. Even with the rainy days, it’s still pretty warm, and possible to get out and about between rain showers.

Last night we were treated to a fabulous dinner at our friends, Walt and Ellen’s home. Last year they purchased a heritage property with an incredible view of the city and Harbour Bridge. It’s a tall home with multiple stories, and the living room and kitchen are on the top floor. The kitchen and dining room windows open up to this amazing vista. Ellen & Walt had gone to the seafood market and to a local farmers market that day, so we were lavished with delicacies such as oysters on the half shell, huge prawns, and some special cheeses, olives and beautiful strawberries. The main course was scrumptious grilled beef along with roasted potatoes and carrots, sautéed snow peas and caprese salad with fresh buffalo mozzarella. A gourmet delight!! We always enjoy the time we spend with Walt and Ellen, and look forward to their next visit to Seattle.
