Today is a holiday in Australia, so many businesses are closed. We had lunch with friends Robyn and Bruce in Chinatown – Yum Chow – which is similar to what we call Dim Sum in the U.S. It was great to catch up with them after a year. They had an eventful year, including a house swap in Munich over Christmas, and a trip to South America and the Galapagos in September. We had lots to talk about, since Tom & I had been in Bavaria just before they arrived, and my Mom and I had been in Galapagos and Ecuador this past January. Later in the day, we stopped by our friends’ Maie & Kevin’s home to pick up some bicycle air canisters we’d left there last year, and were invited to an impromptu dinner. We’re quite lucky to have such generous friends.
