The sunshine is back!! We had a sublime bike ride today – down to the beaches near the airport and around various neighborhoods. It’s always fun to see the homes – we’ve gotten lots of ideas for remodeling – we’ll see if it ever happens. After we got home, we went to a different beach – Clovelly – where there is a sheltered inlet where we’d heard there was good snorkeling. It was great! There were lots of fish and marine plants, including a huge blue grouper that was about 3 feet long. He swam around accompanied by several smaller fish that stuck very close to his sides. I figured they were his “groupies.” (I know, that was a horrible pun, but I couldn’t resist) It was really hard for me to get out of the water to give Tom a chance to snorkel – I could have spent hours in the water. Incidentally, the water has warmed up to about 75 degrees now; warmer than when we arrived. Makes for very comfortable swimming. We have new neighbors. I don’t know if it’s seasonal, but we now have an abundance of parrots around our apartment. I think, due to our close proximity to the park, we get some overflow. They can be noisy, but they more than make up for it by providing entertainment and a flash of color. Here are a couple of little fellows in a tree outside our deck.
